I found this video through one of the links that gave examples of different types of animation. I picked this one because I think that it was really well done especially since it was all hand drawn. I also chose it because of it's message that death is all around us and is unescapable and that there is different ways people think what the afterlife is like reincarnation interested me and kept me watching. As a hand drawn animation Ishu Patel was able to put an amazing amount of detail into each of his scenes made this piece beautiful.
Skrillex and Diplo feat. Justin Bieber - Where Are U Now, Rotoscope
With three of today's most popular artists, Skrillex and Diplo or Jack U were able to create an amazing song. Even though I'm not a fa of Justin Bieber the choice to have him was actually a good choice musically. But artistically they chose to make the video a rotoscope showing how they set up each frame and had them laid out at a art show for fans to come and design each frame and then they made the music video out of it which I thought was really cool.
Mysterious Stranger by Mark Twain, Claymation by Will Venton
An adaption from a piece by Mark Twain show 3 kids who are sent into a room where they meet the mysterious stranger and are taught how simply life can be given and taken away instantly. I chose this video mostly because of the art style. Will Venton did an amazing job putting so much detail into each piece of clay.
Western Spaghetti, Stop Animation by PES
I came upon this video when I was looking for stop animation videos and out of all of them I chose this one because it used unorthodox items as ingredients for pasta made the whole video interesting.
Paper Cut Stop Motion by Hou Anson
I picked this video mostly because of the message the video had. The message was that you shouldn't live a monotonous life and that you should live outside the box
The Reward 2D Animation by The Animation Workshop
The Reward is a 2D animation by the CG Bros and The Animation Workshop. This video show the adventures of two men who find a treasure map and rip it and have to go the journey together. Throughout their travels the two men bond and grow and become friends. But at the end of their journey they find out they the treasure all along was inside themselves. The animation was 2D and CGI but even though it was 2D the animation still had a lot of depth and for a CGI animation they did a great job making it look hand drawn.
